Short’s Brewing - Mmmkay American India Style Pale Lager Bottles Coming Next Week

image

From Short’s Brewing:

Originally created as the radical little brother of Aww Jeah (double Huma) after being brewed with its final runnings as a pub beer in 2012, today is a coming of age for MMMKAY. Bottles of MMMKay will make their way to our brewpub this afternoon and will be released statewide in the middle of next week.

MMMKay is an India Pale Lager (5% ABV, 85 IBU) with a dynamic explosion of hop aromas on the nose. The initial fragrances are of bold citrus fruit like guava, orange, and lemon. As the head settles, the aromas shift to fresh evergreen accents. Indicated by the light body and pale yellow appearance, malt was an afterthought, and the focus here is on the hops. An array of enjoyable American hop flavors shock the palate ranging from slightly fruity to intense earthy pine. A bold bitterness dominates the finish, enhanced by the clean unobtrusive nature of its lager origin.
