From MLive:
Eric Karns, a homebrewer who started the venture in 2011, has teamed up with brother-in-law Taylor Carroll this year and, with the help of new investors, the pair are busy with interior construction on the city’s latest microbrewery.
“We’ve had to answer plenty of questions and concerns,” said Carroll, regarding the two-year delay in construction. “It’s a big relief to be moving forward.”
Karns and Carroll hope to open Elk Brewing this winter after a summer of build-out that will transform the former barbeque restaurant into the second brewery to open in the city’s Uptown East Hills neighborhood, also home to Brewery Vivant.
