DC Brau Begins Distribution in Maryland In Mid-July

WASHINGTON, DC – Starting in mid-July, DC Brau, the fifth fastest-growing craft brewery in America from 2011-2012, will expand its market territory by offering its beers across the "Old Line State", beginning in Montgomery County. Marylanders will now have ample opportunity to enjoy DC Brau beers without having to enter the city limits of Washington or the Commonwealth of Virginia.

"Expanding into Maryland has always been one of our goals, says DC Brau CEO Brandon Skall. "We think that it's very crucial for DC Brau to be seen as an entire DC metro-area brewery, and in order to do that, we need exposure in Montgomery County, Baltimore County, Howard County and Calvert County," he says. "Not only that, but DC Brau has roots in Montgomery County." Jeff Hancock, DC Brau's co-founder, head brewer, and president, was born and raised in Montgomery County. "It means a lot to DC Brau and to me personally, to get in there," Jeff adds, "It's where I'm from. Washington, DC is much more than the city and its borders, and I want us to serve all of it."

"With DC Brau's expanded brewhouse completely online, the next key element was getting the right people in place to make Maryland happen," continues Skall. "We recently made Jake Agger our point-person for Maryland. He's going to have some heavy lifting to do, but we're confident he'll get the job done."

Montgomery County bars, restaurants, and retail outlets can immediately begin ordering DC Brau product line.

DC Brau will kick-off its Montgomery County, Maryland distribution with a July 18th official release party at Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring. The Quarry House Tavern is a Silver Spring institution, known for its wide selection of craft beer, hamburgers, and live music.
