Saint Francis Pulls Lust Hefeweizen Bottles Off Shelves

Saint Francis Brewery has pulled the first bottled batch of its Lust hefeweizen off the shelves due to excessive carbonation. The brewery, which has a brewpub in St. Francis, just outside Milwaukee, announced the recall in an email on Saturday.

Saint Francis is contract brewing its bottled beers at Sand Creek Brewing in Black River Falls, General Manager Nick Dillon said Monday. The problem arose from secondary fermentation that occurred in the bottles after packaging.
