We brought you news of Right Proper Brewing, and now this from the Washington Post:
Right Proper, the forthcoming Shaw brewpub run by brewer Nathan Zeender, Rocklands founder John Snedden and former Brasserie Beck general manager/beer director Thor Cheston, officially applied for its liquor license on Friday.

“Things are moving ahead smoothly, surprisingly,” Cheston says. “We expect our building permits to come in in a few weeks. We’re on schedule to open in October.”
The brewpub, which will be located at 624 T St. NW, S St. NW, has an official capacity of 115. The owners told the Food section’s Daniel Fromson Right Proper will specialize in Belgian-inspired farmhouse ales and aged sour beers.
