Exciting canned beer news coming from Lift Bridge Brewing & Rexam:
CHICAGO, May 14, 2013 /mbb/ -- Helping extend the reach for its flagship beer, Lift Bridge Brewing Company has launched Farm Girl Saison® in four-packs of 16oz. cans from Rexam.
On the water, in the sun or hiding from the winter's chill, Farm Girl Saison is the ideal craft beer for every occasion. It is a smooth and well-rounded Belgian Saison created by Lift Bridge in 2008, featuring a pale golden color and a dry malt finish with spiciness from the Belgian yeast. The mouthwatering taste of the Farm Girl Saison recipe is attributed to Belgian pils malt, candi sugar, wheat malt and spicy hops. It is 5.5 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).
"We're very excited to be extending our flagship beer, Farm Girl Saison, beyond the bottle, allowing consumers to enjoy it in the convenience of a can," says Dan Schwarz , CEO and Co-Owner of Lift Bridge Brewing Company. "We created the four-pack just as Midwesterners will be heading outdoors to enjoy the warm weather and what better way to enjoy a beautiful day than with a good brew?"
The company chose Rexam cans because they help its beer stand out in a crowded marketplace with shiny graphics on reflective aluminum. Cans deliver durability, portability and light barrier properties that preserve freshness and taste integrity, while providing a great sustainability platform with a recycle rate at more than double any other beverage package.
Rich Grimley , president and CEO, Rexam Beverage Can North America, says, "We continue to see more and more craft breweries recognizing the inherent benefit of aluminum cans and choosing them for their brands and business. This is the perfect package to help Lift Bridge reach more consumers, as it stands out on retail shelves while delivering superior recycling, filling, distribution and retail display economics."
Farm Girl Saison in cans is currently available now at select retailers in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.
