Great Lakes Expands Distribution in PA, WV, IN, MN & NC

Some exciting distribution expansion and brewery investment news coming from Great Lakes Cleveland:

May 16, 2013/mbb/—CLEVELAND, OHIO—Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC), celebrating 25 years as Ohio’s original craft brewer of award-winning lagers and ales, announces its intentions to expand further into existing regions and continue investing in capital improvements in its Ohio City brewery. A summary of activities for the 2nd half of 2013 includes the following:

 Additional Markets

o 2nd Quarter 2013:
 South Central Pennsylvania (Gettysburg, Harrisburg)

o 3rd Quarter 2013:
 West Virginia Panhandle
 Indiana
 Minnesota (St. Cloud)
 Remaining Pennsylvania (Northeast, North Central)

o 4th Quarter 2013 - 1st Quarter 2014:
 Remaining North Carolina (Central, Asheville, Coastal)

 Brewery Investments

o 3rd Quarter 2013:
 Brewhouse automation
 10 brews/day (up from current 7 brews/day)
 Upgraded labeler
 240 bottles/minute (up from current 170 bottles/minute)
 Tank Farm air handling upgrades
 Water deaeration upgrades
