Today we get to see four new labels in the DeProef brewmaster’s Collection of veers.  These Special Reserve brews are packaged in 750ml bottles.  Reinaert Wild Ale is named for a field adjacent to the brewery named for a fabled fox in Belgian folklore.  This beer uses two yeast strains (Sacchromyces & Brettanomyces) as well as an East Kent Goldings dry-hop.  This Golden Wild Ale comes in at 9% ABV.  Saison Imperiale is a Belgian Farmhouse Ale that also uses two strains of yeas (Sacchromyces & a “light touch of Lambic-like” Brettanomyces.)  Look for Saison Imperiale to come in at 8.5% ABV.   Witte Noir is an Imperial Amber Ale designed as a companion beer for De Proef La Grande Blanche, but with a darker interpretation in the classic German Dopplebock style.  Witte Noir comes in at 7.5% ABV.  Lozen Boer ABT is an Abbey Style Ale that is named after a restaurant near the brewery and a term that loosely translates to “Gentleman farmer.”  The beer celebrates the restaurateur's father who made his living smuggling cows from Amsterdam to Belgium while pretending to be a farmer.  Lozen Boer ABT comes in at 10% ABV.
