From Three Heads Brewing:

Three Heads Brewing is beyond proud to release their latest beer of 2013, Rochestafarian Wee Heavy. Rochestafarian is the second beer released in 2013 and the twelfth beer overall for the Rochester, NY-based brewer.

Three Heads has an almost religious dedication to Rochester. Their love and commitment to the Greater 585 is embodied in the label’s protagonist: The Lion, in full majesty, proudly adorning the skyline of his fair city. Rochestafarian lives, breathes, inhales the rich culture of the city; note the murals on the label, celebrating several Rochester area bands. But more importantly, the Rochestafarian Lion boldly represents its brethren, both known and unknown, through service and commitment.

As a beer, Rochestafarian is surely a malt-forward entry and, at 34 IBU, presents the least “hoppy” selection in the Three Heads catalog. The nose heralds the impending treat: rich caramel tones with earthy pangs hover over its rich ruby hue.

Rochestafarian trades a deep peat posture for chewy toffee notes, making it an entirely drinkable Wee Heavy Ale at 7% ABV. Let your pint warm a bit, and the plot sweetens: a smooth, caramelized sugar palate plays off a hint of marshmallow(!), all before a slight hop resin on the backend offers that trademark 3HB balance.

Rochestafarian also represents leadership and community. In that spirit, Three Heads Brewing announces a new charitable campaign, kicking off with the release of Rochestafarian. For every case of 22oz. bottles of Rochestafarian sold, Three Heads Brewing will donate $2 to The United Way of Rochester. Three Heads is an enthusiastic steward of the Rochester community and encourages their fans to show and give thanks through their purchase of Rochestafarian.

Rochestafarian will soon be available in 22oz bottles and on draft wherever you enjoy your other favorite 3HB beer.
