Just a quick photo from Oskar Blues NC showing their Asheville Brewing co-brew underway today at Asheville Brewing with Noah & Dave. The beer will be an Imperial Brown Ale and it should be ready in 3 weeks.
An update from Oskar Blues:
Asheville Brewing Company and Oskar Blues Brewery are amped to announce our first North Carolina collaboration beer! The Imperial coffee brown ale with a touch of molasses is currently in the tanks at ABC, and we’ll be celebrating its release at simultaneous brewery parties on Monday, April 8.
In the meantime, we need help naming this brew. Think Alabama/Southern roots (both Doug Riley and Dale... Katechis are from that Magnolia-strewn state). Think big, bold lightly-hopped nectar with a malty, steeped with Ethiopian-blend coffee, backbone. Think fun, punny, and a little outrageous (but not crude). Winner will receive a t-shirt from both breweries and huge street cred. Ideas in comments below. Contest ends at midnight on Sunday, March 24. Winner will be chosen by reps from both breweries who may or may not be biased. Now GO and name that beer!
