Heineken Appoints Chris Barrow as Chief Strategy Officer and Member of Executive Committee

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - Mar 19, 2013/mbb) - Heineken N.V. ('HEINEKEN') today announced that it has appointed Chris Barrow, currently Managing Director HEINEKEN Brasil, to the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Chris will join the Executive Committee, reporting to Jean-François van Boxmeer, Chairman of the Executive Board/CEO, and will oversee the evolution of HEINEKEN's wider business strategy.

Commenting on the appointment, Jean-François van Boxmeer said: "Over the last few years we have made considerable progress in the development of our organic growth strategy and have significantly increased our platforms for growth through acquisition. Chris will relocate from Brazil to Amsterdam and take up his new position in August.
