Great Lakes Butcher’s Brew Returns for 2013

From Great Lakes Cleveland:

(Cleveland, OH) - To help our friends at The West Side Market recover from the recent fire that has temporarily shuttered this beloved institution, we are preparing a second batch of our West Side Market-inspired Butcher's Brew.

The second batch of Butcher's Brew will be tapped in the GLBC Brewpub this April, and all proceeds from this beer will go to The West Side Market for recovery and improvements. Owner Pat Conway understands the importance of The West Side Market, as it has been an integral part of Brewpub operations since our doors opened in 1988. "We would never have come to the neighborhood if it hadn't been for the West Side Market, so we have an emotional bond with them, in addition to the business bond that we've developed over two decades," notes Conway.

Butcher's Brew, a toasty Kulmbacher-style lager, made its debut as the official beer of the West Side Market's Centennial celebration in the fall of 2012. Guests at the Centennial Gala received a limited edition screenprinted 22 ounce bottle of the beer. Butcher's Brew was later tapped exclusively in the GLBC Brewpub for the enjoyment of locals.

Note: We will announce the official release as the date approaches. Butcher's Brew will be available exclusively on draft in the GLBC Brewpub for a limited time. Butcher's Brew will not be sold in bottles. All proceeds from Butcher's Brew will benefit The West Side Market.
