Burning Brothers Brewery & St. Paul Brewers Ask City Change Taproom Restrictions

imageFrom TwinCities.com:

Thomas Foss signed a lease last week to open a craft brewery a few blocks north of the Central Corridor light-rail line's Fairview Avenue station. But Burning Brothers Brewery isn't content to just brew beer for distribution. Foss and his business partner Dane Breimhorst want to serve pints to customers who walk in the door.

That's a problem, at least according to city ordinances that have plenty of restrictions for taprooms.

"Due to zoning regulations, we can't legally open a taproom right now," said Foss, who wants to open the taproom at 1750 Thomas Ave.
