“I look forward to another productive year, working with my fellow craft brewers on the Brewers Association’s Board of Directors,” said Sam Calagione. “The diversity of breweries represented on our board, in terms of scale, geography and business model, reflects the diversity of our membership really well. Together, we will continue our work to promote and protect this community of innovative and inspired craft brewers.”
The Board provides strategic direction for the Brewers Association, which comprises more than 1,600 U.S. brewery members, 36,000 members of the American Homebrewers Association along with members of the allied trade, beer wholesalers, individuals, and other associate members.
“The craft brewing community continues to see great growth as beer lovers across the country enjoy and educate themselves about craft beer,” added Charlie Papazian, president, Brewers Association. “We’re thrilled to have these leaders at the helm, helping to guide the flourishing evolution of craft beer.”
The Brewers Association Board of Directors also has several standing committees that work with members and staff focusing on specific areas to help achieve Association goals.
