PORTLAND, ME (29 Jan 2013/mbb/ )– Rising Tide Brewing Company, a small family-owned brewery in Portland, has begun shipping its beer to Vermont through its new distribution partner, g. housen.
“We started with Maine and then Massachusetts, and now we’re thrilled to be able to bring our beer to Vermonters as well,” said co-owner Heather Sanborn.
A graduate of Middlebury College, Sanborn is looking forward to spending time in Vermont this spring, introducing Rising Tide’s beers to local consumers.
“I’m very familiar with the drive from Maine to Vermont and whenever I cross the bridge on Route 89 from New Hampshire into Vermont, I feel a little bit like I’m coming home again.”
Rising Tide’s co-owner and brewer Nathan Sanborn specializes in brewing unique, balanced ales that are influenced by brewing traditions from around the world.
“I like the idea of learning from traditional beer styles rather than being wedded to them,” he said. “We have such an amazing array of high quality ingredients available to us, from locally grown rye to intriguing new hop varieties to micro-roasted coffee beans. My goal is to let unique flavors shine in each beer we create.”
Rising Tide’s beers are unfiltered, unpasteurized, and bottle conditioned.
