Some interesting beers will be flowing out of Vista, CA breweries to celebrate the city’s 50th anniversary. Details from UTSan Diego:
Vista’s eight craft breweries are helping to celebrate the city’s 50th anniversary this year by creating special-edition beers, including two that will be served this weekend at two local breweries.
The city has been supportive of its fledgling brewery industry and wanted to participate in the celebration, Love said.
Mother Earth Brewery is scheduled to serve its Vista 50th anniversary beer Saturday, Love said. The beer is an aggressive, hoppy San Diego pale ale with Simcoe dry hops, Love said.
On Sunday, Aztec Brewing will serve its “Hasta la Vista” beer to members of the City Council city officials and the public at its tasting room, said John Webster, the brewery’s marketing director.
Hasta la Vista is a German style beer known as dunkelweizen, or a dark version of what is commonly known as a hefeweizen, he said.
