If I’m not posting news about new breweries opening, I’m posting stories of growth and expansion for existing breweries. Details on Left Hand Brewing’s recent expansion from the Longmont Times-Call:
Left Hand Brewing Co. sold 49,549 barrels its Sawtooth, Black Jack Porter and other beers during the year, a 341/2 percent increase over 2011. Gross revenue was up a little more than 41 percent, Left Hand president Eric Wallace said.
The company is wrapping up the final portion of the third phase of a $9 million expansion it began at its Boston Avenue brewery back in 2008. This year the company added two 480-barrel fermenters and a 500-barrel brite tank, as well as a new 6,000-square-foot cooler in its corporate headquarters building on the north side of Boston.
