Shipley, UK – 22 January 2013/mbb/ Today, CMB Engineering, a leading manufacturer of canmaking machinery, is proud to announce the appointment of two seasoned industry professionals to its senior management team. Andrew Truelove, a CMB veteran with decades of experience, will assume the role of General Manager in July 2013. Filling Andrew Truelove’s previous position of Plant Manager at CMB will be Geoff Gargon, currently Business Support Manager at the company. Jim Cozier, the current General Manager, who will be retiring in September will continue to support Truelove and Gargon in a consultative role, to provide a successful and smooth transition.

Andrew Truelove started his career with CMB in 1994 as an apprentice engineer. Moving up through the ranks, Truelove has worked in both sales and engineering functions, until assuming the role of Assistant Plant Manager in 2010. In this position and his following role of Plant Manager, Truelove implemented lean manufacturing, and utilized increased investment to improve equipment, production and delivery processes.  This provided customers with enhanced service and On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries. Focusing on his new role, Truelove said: “At CMB, we marry excellence in engineering with outstanding customer service to help our canmaking partners meet their customers’ and end-users’ needs. My focus, as General Manager, will be on further enhancing CMB’s reputation as a global supplier of innovative canmaking technology, designed for the production of best-in-class cans.”

Geoff Gargon, who will assume the vacated role of Plant Manager, joined CMB in 1971, also as an apprentice. He has held a variety of engineering and service roles during a long and distinguished career, which entailed working closely with customers on site and confirming the quality of machinery and services provided. In his most recent role as Business Support Manager, Gargon has been instrumental in developing a new supply base to meet the company’s and its customers’ needs. Better inventory control has helped to improve efficiencies on CMB’s manufacturing floor, safeguarding delivery deadlines for customers. Gargon explained: “At CMB Engineering, we aim to provide superior canmaking machinery and equipment to our customers, designed for ease of use and speedy integration into existing lines. We have focused on both increasing our own efficiencies at the production and delivery stage, while also leveraging customer feedback during the design of new machines.”

Jim Cozier, who will advise and support Truelove on a consultative basis until September said, “I’ve worked closely with Andrew and Geoff during my tenure here at CMB. They both have an excellent understanding of our customers’ business imperatives acquired through their engineering, sales and customer service roles. I’m confident that they will leverage this knowledge and customer-centric focus to continue strengthening the great relationships CMB has built within the canmaking industry.”

CMB Engineering, headquartered in Shipley, UK, is one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative canmaking solutions and has invested significantly in growing its product portfolio in recent years to better serve the metal packaging industry. In 2013, CMB will continue with its drive to launch new technologies, while implementing further customer service initiatives to reinforce the company's reputation for high-quality machinery.
