Merry Christmas from Jeff Bagby & everyone from Bagby Beer:
We hope you are all having a fantastic week - spending time with friends and family! Hopefully you have all chosen some tasty craft beer to accompany your meals and anchor your celebrations. We are taking a couple of days off from brewery/pub work - but just a couple! There is much progress, and so much that is just about to happen, the project can't afford to lose its momentum...
So! Here is the latest:
Building design - including the brewery, restaurant/bar dining, kitchen, outside and retail spaces - is well underway and construction documents are scheduled to be complete sometime in mid-January. The hope is we will be able to submit our plans to the City of Oceanside right around then, and our fingers are crossed we will receive the green light to begin construction in March.
With Jeff at the helm, we have assembled an incredible team, anchored by architect Matthew Ellis (bluemotif architecture) and project manager Gilman Bishop (Urban Collective), supported by Tony Adamo (Design Perspectives), among several other key team members. We are super excited about what is upcoming, and know this is the right group to usher our vision into reality.
Branding - we are working closely with a really talented and professional local team to develop just the right logo/brand identity. This process is a really important and collaborative one. The end result will be a logo/brand that represents us and conveys what we value and deem important - this is tough to capture in a logo!
Brewing Equipment - should be selected and secured with a deposit by the end of January
The pace of the project has picked up significantly - there are new challenges to overcome and decisions to make daily! We are enjoying every bit of it, learning a ton, and are more fired up than ever to make Oceanside home!
Thanks again for your continued interest and support!
All the best to you and your families - here's to a great 2013!
Dande & Jeff Bagby.
