Great news coming this morning on the release of a new beer from Bronx Brewery:
Bronx, NY, December 17, 2012/mbb/ – Following on the heels of the Bronx Rye Pale Ale, The Bronx Brewery is set to launch its second specialty beer, the Bronx Black Pale Ale, this week. The new beer will go on sale in select bars and restaurants throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester on December 19. It will be available through the end of February.
The brewers will officially introduce the Bronx Black Pale Ale beer at a special event at Jimmy’s No. 43 (43 East 7th streets, New York) on Thursday, January 3 from 7PM to 10PM. General Manager Chris Gallant, Head Brewer Damian Brown, and Sales Director Sean McCain will be on hand to talk about the new beer and answer questions about the recipe development and brewing process. The beer will be poured alongside the brewery’s flagship Bronx Pale Ale. Cask versions of both beers will be on hand as well.
"Jimmy's No. 43 prides itself on supporting small, local breweries, so it's great to see how the company has grown in the months since Chris would hand-deliver the barrels to us. We're looking forward to launching the third great beer by The Bronx Brewery."
The Bronx Black Pale Ale offers a smooth and complex contrast of dark chocolate and roasted malt flavors with bright and tropical guava, mango and pear hop flavors and aromas. Three different American malts stand up to generous amounts of West Coast El Dorado and Citra hops in an unfiltered and unpasteurized ale. Says Brown, “The intent behind the Black PA was to create a complex and unique beer from the dichotomy of dark malts and bright hops”.
The new beer will join the Bronx lineup, alongside the flagship Bronx Pale Ale, specialty Bronx Rye Pale Ale, and select barrel aged pale ales.
