VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 8, 2012/mbb/) - To mark International Stout Day, Steamworks announces the bottle debut of its Oatmeal Stout - possibly the hottest thing to happen to oatmeal since breakfast. For the first time, this silky-smooth beer can be purchased in 650 ml bottles at liquor stores across British Columbia, giving beer a reason to cheer.

"Steamworks is proving that oatmeal doesn't have to be boring, and we're inviting beer lovers from far and wide to go for a roll in our Oatmeal Stout", says Steamworks President, Walter Cosman. Steamworks Oatmeal Stout is brewed with a generous helping of steel-cut oats and lots of black roasted barley. "Our Oatmeal Stout has a warm, roasted nose that succumbs to smooth waves of lingering satisfaction - it's the new breakfast of champions!", exclaims Cosman.

Steamworks has been brewing Oatmeal Stout since its inception, 17 years ago, using a combination of steel-cut and rolled oats to create the velvety-smooth taste for which Steamworks is famous. With Steamworks Oatmeal Stout available in bottles, beer lovers can finally get excited about stocking their cupboards with oatmeal and their fridges with Stout.

As always, Steamworks uses steam-powered brewing, a technology that contributes to Steamworks' distinct flavor advantage.

Steamworks' Oatmeal Stout will be available in BC Government Liquor Stores as well as many private licensed retail stores starting November 13th, allowing beer aficionados province-wide to "bring the brewpub home".
