Dallas Beer Week Begins Today (11/10)

imagePress Release:

Dallas Beer Week is an eight-day celebration of craft beer that will take place at various locations throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, featuring beers from Texas-based breweries as well as those from around the U.S. and the world. Attendees can expect a myriad of craft beer-related events to take place at various restaurants, bars and retail establishments throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

As in years past, there will be beer dinners, tastings, visits by brewery personnel and more. Attendees can visit a tasting from a small brewery where they can explore a beer they have never had before, or dive into an eight-course beer dinner and immerse themselves into a true beer geek’s universe.

Events will be featured on the calendar on the Dallas Beer Week website and will be organized by day of the week. Organizers have posted events at venues from every area of Dallas and Ft. Worth—over 80 events thus far.

Two kick-off events have been planned for opening day:

  • Kickoff Party at Franconia Brewery in McKinney: Reprising its event from last year,Franconia Brewing Company will play host to the Kickoff Party on Saturday, November 10. Details are yet to be announced, but last year’s event included live music, plenty of Franconia beer and a fundraiser that netted several thousand dollars for a McKinney homeless shelter.
  • The Common Table Avery Beer Brunch: Following up on the tremendous success of their opening day brunch of 2011, The Common Table is opening up Dallas Beer Week with an amazing line up of Avery beers and a stellar brunch by chef, Mike Smith. The limited tickets are $60/each and the brunch begins at 11:30 am. Following brunch, regular folk can stop by for the Avery Tap Takeover including 20+ Avery beers—many you have never had before!

Dallas Beer Week Committee

New for 2012, the organizers of Dallas Beer Week are creating the Dallas Beer Week Committee—a group of die-hard fans who will help promote and manage different facets of beer week. The Dallas Beer Week Committee will help shape the future of Dallas Beer Week and be an integral part of the management and promotion of the events.

Dallas Beer Week will be a spectacular array of events for the novice to the true beer geek. Don’t miss it!
