One of my favorite New Belgium beers, Frambozen, will return (no through January 2013). This from New Belgium:
Ft. Collins, CO, October 17, 2012/mbb/ – Steeped in tradition, New Belgium Brewing’s annual Frambozen release is aptly named after the Flemish word for raspberries. Now available in most New Belgium markets, the festive beer has become synonymous with holiday celebrations.
New Belgium’s annual tradition of sending delegates to the Pacific Northwest continued this year, with the team hand selecting freshly picked raspberries for the brewing process. The resulting beer, Frambozen, dances with fresh tart raspberries backed by nutty, chocolate and caramel malts.
“Frambozen is a beautiful beer that deserves to be on the table with the thoughtfully prepared foods of the holidays,” said Grady Hull, assistant brewmaster at New Belgium Brewing. “It’s big, full of tart raspberries with a touch of sweet and definitely celebratory.”
Frambozen has 6.5 percent ABV. It is available in most New Belgium markets now through January and pricing varies.
