From Crop:
(Stowe, VT) – Crop Bistro & Brewery is pleased to announce the arrival of their Bavarian-made brew house. The brew house was built in Germany and traveled by sea to the U.S coast in late September. Its journey to Stowe has been long but worth the wait.
Construction and installation of the brewery will happen throughout November and brewing will begin in December. Both our staff and loyal local customers can look forward to enjoying the new microbrew in December.
Once the brewery is at full capacity, Crop Brewmaster Will Gilson expects to offer six types of beer made on premises. Will comes to Crop Bistro with close to 20 years of brewing experience and most recently from the Moat Mountain Smoke House & Brewing Co. in N.H. Previously, his talent took him to Snake River Brewing Company in Jackson Hole and Squatters Brewpub in Salt Lake City.
“As Stowe’s newest small brewery, we’re excited to continue serving the community with well crafted food and to finally add to our dream of quality crafted beer to what Crop has to offer,” said General Manager Tim Baur. “We are proud to become a part of the tradition of respected small breweries and micro-breweries in Stowe and throughout Vermont.”
According to Gilson, “The brew house is amazing, not only in its stunning old world aesthetics, but also by it’s modern design and brewing functionality.” He says he’s like a kid in a candy shop.
Crop opened in January 2012, and is located in the former Shed Restaurant and Brewery on the Mountain Road. The restaurant features daily seasonal and local fare.
