Tree Brewing Creating Beer For Breast Cancer

August 28, 2012 (Kelowna, BC/mbb/) – Tree Brewing is known for its cans, and now they’ve turned them pink. In a unique partnership with the BC Cancer Foundation, the award-winning brewer from Kelowna will be launching Beer for Breast Cancer - their Beach Blonde lager in pink cans - for a limited time.

“All of us have been touched personally, or have known women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer,” says Tree Brewing President, Tod Melnyk. “We’ve wanted to do something to support the BC Cancer Foundation for some time, and think this is a great fit with our Beach Blonde Lager. This is our way to continue to raise awareness for breast cancer research, and have a bit of fun at the same time.”

For the months of September and October, the pink version of Beach Blonde Lager will be available in British Columbia and exclusively at Liquor Depot in Alberta. Proceeds of the sale of these cans will go to the BC Cancer Foundation and support breakthrough breast cancer research happening at the BC Cancer Agency. Tree’s Beer for Breast Cancer will be on display in most liquor stores across BC and in all Liquor Depot stores in Alberta, and will also include widespread support for the program at government and private liquor stores in BC over both months, as well as on-premise programming.

The perfect beer for all occasions, Beach Blonde Lager is light-bodied, smooth with a clean, crisp finish. The brew was a Bronze Medalist at the 2012 Canadian Brewing Awards.
