Neighbors Object to Epic Brewing Expansion In Utah

Am I the ONLY one who would actually love to have a brewery in my neighborhood?  Looks like neighbors of Epic brewing in Salt Lake City are objecting to the brewery’s plans to expand.  Details from The SLTTrib:

Denizens of little Edison Street between 800 South and 900 South may like the beer at Epic Brewery on nearby State Street. They just don’t want the operation growing into their quaint neighborhood.

Epic’s request to Salt Lake City for a zone change that would allow the brewery to expand to the east and onto Edison has set up a common collision between residents and commercial interests in urban zones.

"I bought my house 2½ years ago," Tiffany Taylor said. "I don’t want a brewery here."

Although passers-by would need a keen eye to recognize the neighborhood a half block off bustling State Street, for the people who live there, it’s home and it’s special.
