Next time you sit sown to enjoy a beer in front of your Bose Acoustic Wave…you may want to think twice. While this has only been tested on wine, water, milk, and orange juice, it’s only a matter of time before they try beer. This from DBR Process Technology:
Alphonse Cassone has received a patent for a method to enhance flavors of beverages when exposed to acoustic waves from a transponder immersed in liquid from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
The method has been tested on bottles and cans of wine, Perrier sparkling water, water, milk, orange juice, reported foodnavigator.com.
Alphonse Cassone of Las Vegas, Nevada, the founder of Medsonix, had applied for the patent six years ago.
Under the method, beverages will be exposed to a low frequency sonic transducer Cassone Transponder, which emits acoustic waves ranging from 1-1,000Hz for approximately 30 minutes.
According to the patent document, the process can be used to enhance the taste of less expensive and inferior quality food and to restore lost flavors, reported the website.
"By the use of such methods, the flavour of inferior quality food may be easily and safely enhanced, with the ability to treat large volumes of food simultaneously," the patent document states.
