Exciting news from The Bruery:
This weekend is going to be another fun one here in the Tasting Room. As many of you might have heard by now, these next few weeks will be the last couple weekends in our current tasting room, so if you want to come and say goodbye to our current space this is the time to do it!
If you missed the release of Tart of Darkness last weekend, we will have both draft and bottles of that deliciously unusual brew all weekend long. Tart of Darkness is a 5.6% ABV stout that we brewed last year as a Provisions Series beer and liked it so much we decided we needed to bring it back! We aged that brew in Black Tuesday barrels and added our special blend of souring bacterias and wild yeasts. The result perfectly tart, awesomely dark and delectably roasty. This is a brewery employee favorite and we strongly encourage you to come in and try it while we still have some around.
Saturday we will also be pouring Bourbon Barrel Aged Smoking Wood, our imperial smoked porter brewed with beachwood and cherrywood smoked malt, and aged in bourbon whiskey barrels. That 10% ABV beer is also brewed with a hefty amount of rye malt, contributing to a full body and light spiciness. Toasty oak, caramel and vanilla flavors balance the smokiness, contributing to an intense yet refined flavor profile. We have a very limited amount of kegs of that beer, so if you are looking for your smoked beer fix this is the weekend to do it.
As always, we should have some fantastic food trucks around for everyone to try. Friday night our old oinker friends at the Bacon Mania Truck will be around to serve up some of their pork-y goodness, Saturday night we will have the Bite Truck here at 5:30 to serve up some of their high-end truck cuisine and Sunday the Munchee5 truck will be here to serve up the afternoon crowd.
