Santa Barbara Elephants Choose Ingredients for Beer

imageOnce again I could NOT make this up.  Form Keyt:

Santa Barbara Zoo's two elephants, Sujatha and Little Mac were busy Monday morning, selecting ingredients for a signature beer that will be served at the upcoming "Zoo Brew".

The popular pachyderms got to choose from grains soaked and roasted at different times and temperatures.

They also had a chance to smell other common brewing ingredients such as organic chocolate, coffee beans, orange peel and vanilla beans.

The new brew, "Big Ear Beer" will be served at the Zoo fundraiser on June 2nd.

Pete Johnson, the brew master at the Brewhouse is tasked with creating a recipe from the various ingredients the elephants chose.
