Great news coming out of Oskar Blues via the TimesCall:
Longmont-based Oskar Blues Brewery is close to signing a lease for a restaurant in Boulder, officials confirmed Monday.
Oskar Blues has inked a letter of intent to lease the historic train depot that will be part of the Depot Square at Boulder Junction development of 31st and Pearl streets in Boulder, Dale Katechis, Oskar Blues founder, told the Camera.
A lease could be signed before the end of the month, he said.
Last month, Katechis confirmed the brewery was considering opening a restaurant in the depot — a 122-year-old building that originally served as the Union Pacific Depot in downtown Boulder — but also had its sights on other locations in and outside Boulder.
Oskar Blues operates restaurants in Lyons and Longmont and recently announced plans to open a brewpub in North Carolina.
