Jeff Williamson Leaves Flat Earth & Ben Pierson Leaves Lexington Ave

Two brewers have departed their current ride this morning.  Fist up, via his Facebook page Jeff Williamson has left Flat Earth Brewing Co, saying he was fired (not exactly the story coming out of Flat Earth), and Ben Pierson has left Asheville, NC’s Lexington Ave Brewery over a contract dispute.  From CitizenTimes:

Ben Pierson, founding brewer at the downtown Lexington Avenue Brewery, has resigned in what he describes as a contract dispute.

Pierson is leaving LAB today. He has been at the brewery and restaurant since it began three years ago, and put together the brewing system there.

Pierson, who previously worked at Asheville’s Green Man Brewing Co., said he will “immediately” begin looking for another job. He lives in Greenville, S.C. and has been commuting to Asheville. “In the meantime, I am doing landscaping,” he said.  Full details here.
