Boulevard 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat

A new summer release coming from Boulevard Brewing to be called 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat.  Details from BizJournals:

Boulevard Brewing Co. is preparing to launch a new year-round beer as a way to tap more consumers in a rapidly changing craft beer market.

Bob Sullivan, chief marketing officer for Kansas City-based Boulevard, said the new beer will be called 80 Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer. He anticipates a late summer release.

“It’s a new style for us, and one that we think offers a lot of potential for sales in our Midwest region,” Sullivan said.

Capturing market share throughout the Midwest is key to achieving the brewery’s lofty goal of boosting production by 12 percent this year to 175,000 barrels.  Full details here.
