Newburgh Brewing Co will be opening soon in Newburgh, NY under the direction of former Brooklyn Brewing brew master Chris Basso. From the recordonline:
Ultimately, the success of the brewery will largely depend on the beer. Co-owner and master brewer Chris Basso worked Friday at the top of the fermenting tanks.
"This tank is getting cleaned, so I can fill it up again," Basso said.
Basso learned his trade at Brooklyn Brewery, earning him instant credibility among beer enthusiasts. He expects to brew enough beer to fill 6,000 standard-size kegs every year.
He and his partners hope to open a tap room in late May, but almost all the beer will be distributed to bars, restaurants and beer stores in the Hudson Valley and New York City metro area. (Full story here)
