With all the craze going on lately over Beer Pong and the associated national “Competitions” it’s no surprise to see someone else jumping on the beer-pong gravy train. Xtreme Pong Sports now brings you BasketPong and yes you guessed it…it’s a drinking game! Their website is HERE and Here’s a clip form their press release:
(New York, NY, 16 Apr 2012) -- After growing bored of the same old beer pong games and getting tired of having to drag giant tables around every time they wanted to play beer pong, the founders of Xtreme Pong Sports decided to make a game that was portable enough to play anywhere and allowed for more creativity and challenge. The result was BasketPong, a new and revolutionary tailgating game that has launched nationwide.
BasketPong is a tailgating game that combines the skill and competitiveness of Basketball with the fun and excitement of beer pong. The portable game is tailored for tailgating with a vertical backboard that attaches to a pole that is supported by a base, similar to a basketball hoop. The game can be played with two to four teams in either a full court of half court setting with a variety of different gameplay options.
BasketPong has made its debut in tournaments and tailgating trade shows nationwide, as well as launching at college campuses nationwide. Paul Cappucio, Founder of Basket Pong, stated, "We at Xtreme Pong Sports feel that BasketPong can revolutionize both the tailgate and beverage game industry as there are no other products like it on the market. The portability and the design of BasketPong allows you to bring the game anywhere. Also the full and half court options allow you to play the game in several different ways. We have been holding tournaments at college campuses nationwide and have gotten great feedback on the product and feel that the college marketplace is a great venue for BasketPong. Be sure to look out for BasketPong and other Xtreme Pong Sports products."
