Breweries Breaking Ground in North Woodstock New Hampshire & Fenton Michigan

imageAs the market for locally-brewed craft-beer grows, we’ve seen more and more new breweries popping up, and quite a few brewery expansions.  Today comes word of even two more.  In North Woodstock New Hampshire the Woodstock Inn & Brewery is expanding their brewery.

Ground was broken Monday for the project, which will include a new 30-barrel brewing facility, entertainment venue, and 150-seat function room. In November, one of the inn's five lodging properties was moved across a side street from its place at the rear of the inn to make way for the new quarters for the businesses' award-winning brewery.  More details here from the UnionLeader.

Michigan Brewing Co will also begin construction in Fenton, MI in May.

A Michigan Brewing Company official said Tuesday that they hope to begin construction in May, and are only waiting on the architect to finish plans for construction of the new brewery at the old Fenton fire hall.

Tadrick said once the plans are received, officials can move forward with the builders in three to four weeks and construction is expected to start May 1. He said his builders, Bren-Mar Construction of Fenton, told him construction would take 12 to 16 weeks and he hopes to have the restaurant and tavern open in August.  More details here from the FentonPatch.
