Beginning in early spring 2012, Old Dominion Brewing will release the first in a series of three 22oz Pin-Up Bomber Girls specialty beers.  The first beer will be called Gigi’s Famhouse Ale, then in July Double-D, followed by Walk of Shame in Oct 2012.

Old Dominion Brewing Company Announces 22oz Pin-up “Bomber Girls” Series

Dover, DE – Old Dominion Brewing Company announced that it plans to introduce a series of three 22oz “Bomber Girls” in 2012.

With recipes refined over four years, these three diverse beers, GiGi’s, Double D and Walk of Shame, were inspired by 1940s pin-up girls. Meant to be limited releases, they will be introduced throughout the year. In early spring, GiGi’s Farmhouse Ale, a bottle conditioned Saison, will make her refreshing debut. Double D is due out in July and Walk of Shame will make her appearance in October.

Walter Trifari, Master Brewer of Fordham and Old Dominion Brewery, stated that, “We have spent the last ten years creating traditional ales and lagers. We jumped at the chance to try something new. These three styles of beer represented an opportunity to be creative and innovative. We had a lot of fun making them and we will have even more fun drinking them.”

Fordham and Old Dominion have been brewing high quality beverages in Dover, Delaware since 2003. They provide tours of the brewery (located at 1284 McD Dr., Dover, DE) and provide samples of their products, such as Scotch Ale, Oak Barrel Stout, Baltic Porter and Copperhead Ale every Wednesday at 5:00 and 6:00pm, Friday at 4:30 and 6:00pm and Saturday at 12:30 and 2:00 pm.

RAMS HEAD ANNOUNCES GIGI’S FARMHOUSE ALE BEER RELEASE PARTY

Annapolis, MD-February 17, 2012- Rams Head
restaurants, located throughout Maryland has announced the release of Old Dominion Company’s “Gigi’sFarmhouse Ale” on Thursday, March 1st, 2012 from 4-6:00pm.

The "Gigi’s Farmhouse Ale" will be the newest release from the Old Dominion Brewery Company, the first of the Dominion’s three diverse beers that were inspired by 1940’s pin-up girls. Walter Trifari,Master Brewer of Fordham and Old Dominion Brewery, stated that, “We have spent the last ten years creating traditional ales and lagers. We jumped at the chance to try something new. We had a lot of fun making it and we will have even more fun drinking it.”

On, Thursday, March 1st, 2012 beer lovers will be able to taste the new brew at their local Rams Head restaurant from 4-6:00pm. Rams Head will have limited edition glasses for the beer release that will be available for $4 at 4pm on the release day. Patrons who purchase the glass also receive a fill-up of the new release and refills are $1 during release party.

According to Americancraftbeer.com, Gigi’s Farmhouse Ale is a tastebud seducing, Belgian-style farmhouse ale. An unfiltered,bottle-conditioned Saison, brewed with pilsner oats and torrified wheat malt ,coming in at a 7.2% ABV .The beer was also picked as their “Serious BeerPick’ of the month.
