Word is starting to trickle out about about a new Beer-Reality show that may hit the airwaves soon. The show to be named “The Next Great American Brewer” will feature both amateur & professional brewers in a competition to choose a “winner.” Based on what I’ve read so far, the show seems to feature “challenges” relative to brewing beer, pairing beer with food & owning/running a business and it does NOT seem to necessarily be about how good the beer is…but stay tuned for further details. The winning brewer will get his/her beer brewed, bottled & distributed by Goose Island as well as a full scholarship to the Siebel Institute..
The show will be created by MainGate Visuals and will be filmed in Chicago (i.e. Goose Island). You can find the video trailer HERE and their Facebook page HERE. Should be interesting to see how it works out if an actually professional brewer from a different brewery wins.
