Driftwood Alfie’s Revenge Wins CAMRA Supreme Champion

For those that jealously follow along with all the great hand-drawn ales in the UK, I’m excited to report that CAMRA has named Driftwood Alfie’s Revenge the 2012 Supreme Champion Winter Beer of Britain.  In case you aren’t familiar, CAMRA is the Campaign for Real Ales—a group devoted to the promotion of real drawn ales, or as we would call them hand-pump or beer-engine.  Alfie’s Revenge is a 6.5% ABV Old Ale that I’d love to try…Congratulations to Driftwood.  When (not if) you visit the UK, be sure to check out CAMRA & the Real Ale culture.
