We’ve been following along as Sierra Nevada investigates it’s options to open a $50-$100 million dollar brewing facility on the east coast.
The latest update seems to be that Asheville, NC is becoming more and more likely….Word came early this week that Ken Grossman was planning to meet with local brewers in Western North Carolina to ease their fears about what having Sierra Nevada in town may do to their small breweries (details HERE)…but the big news is that the Henderson County Board of Commissioners approved $3.75 Million in incentives for an “unnamed” manufacturing operation coming to the county(details on the incentives HERE). I’m not sure how much $3.75 Million over six years will influence a $100 million planned facility, but I suspect it will. Good luck Asheville!
