I’m not sure if this should fall under the category of “I could not make this up” or “Cashing in on Tebow” but in any case, Bonfire Brewing posted up on their Facebook Page, pictures of a new beer to be called TEBREW, The Sunday Sipper Barleywine…and according to their post it is “almost here. In the style of 4th quarter heroics, we're waiting until the last minute to serve it up -- the moment the 10oz glasses arrive, the real games can begin. Stay tuned.” Looks like Tim Tebow himself has no connection or plans to endorse the brew, but if requested, Bonfire said they would donate 10% of all sales to the Tim Tebow Foundation. Bonfire apparently brewed only about 5bbl of the beer, 10 gallons of which is intended for the Vail Colorado Big Beer Festival and none of it will be bottled or distributed beyond the festival & brewery. It also looks like Bonfire is taking a fair amount of heat from Tebow fans, some even commenting that they “hope he sues your socks off!” Should be an interesting story to follow…
