Southern Tier–Back Burner oak Aged Imperial Barley Wine Style Ale

image
A few weeks ago we had Phin Demink from Southern Tier Brewing join us on the Friday BeerBuzz…and Phin told us how the original brewing venture for Southern Tier was called Back Burner Brewing..so imagine how exciting it was for me to see a new brew from Southern Tier Brewing called back Burner.  How cool is it that this is an Oak Aged Imperial barley Wine Style….really…and Imperial barley Wine is like saying Apollo 13 had a turbocharger!  Look for this new brew to be 22oz bottles, 9.6% ABV and use Chinook, Willamette & Chinook hops.  “Back Burner Barley Wine Ale is a celebration of things to come & things remembered…It’s conceive din three small batches using voluminous amounts of barley & hops.  The process starts early in the morning and ends late into the night.”  Cheers Phin..this one sounds great!
