We’ve been following along with Greg Koch and my pal Mitch Steele as they introduced the new “Off Beers for Odd Years” series of tweaks for their regular Old Guardian Barley Wine and Russian Imperial Stout. By popular demand they’ve backed up a little and decided, at least for this year to release their regular Old Guardian in addition to the Odd Years Old Guardian Belago Barley Wine…so here’s your first peek at the Front and rear labels for Belago and the 2011 regular Old Guardian. These are both 22oz packages and both come in at a big 12% ABV. The Belago version is fermented with Belgian Yeast creating a very different beer…so stay tuned for this one to hit our market. Stone also received keg packaging approval for both beers so we’ll hopefully get a chance to try it on draft as well.
