Firestone Walker–Abacus 2011 Barley Wine & Mission St 2011 Anniversary Ale

Here’s your first peek at the Firestone Walker Reserve Series 2011 Abacus Barley Wine label.  This American-style Barley Wine was previously brewed and discontinued, but now it will return in 2011 as part of Firestone Walker Reserve Series of brews.  This beer comes in at a big 13% ABV, 42 IBU, used British Ale yeast and will be packaged in 22oz bottles for an upcoming release.  Look for only 1500 cases to be produced.  I’ve also included Mission St, Firestone Walker’s 14th Anniversary Ale (2011).  “This year’s Mission St Anniversary Ale showcases complex malt flavor with roasty notes layered in and medium hop character.  It is a blend of three incredible brews carefully blended for maximum aroma and flavor.”  Firestone Walker is calling this an Imperial Brown Ale and it will be 8.5% ABV and come in 22oz packaging.
