Here’s the 12oz packaging (approved today) for Avery Margarete Barrel-Aged Cherry Stout. This is a bomb, clocking in at 15.43% ABV and is a limited run of less than 100 cases (89 on the label). If you believe the label, this will be bottled on Jan 8 2011. “Experimentation. Ales and lagers that defy styles or categories. To further facilitate this innovative spirit, we’ve developed our Barrel-Aged Series where anything, and we do mean ANYTHING goes! Margarete, the object of wanton desire, is a seductive stout transformed by sour cherries and 11-months internment in bourbon barrels into a devilish union of decadent fragrances and flavors.” This is their 6th release in the series with a total of 89 cases to be released.
