Oktoberfest employment...
Oktoberfest employs about 12,000 part-time employees each year with over 1,600 of them being the waitresses who deliver the beer. These waitresses, soime as young as 18 and some as old as 80, carry as many as ten 1-litre mugs at a time weighing as much as 50lbs with each trip. Apparently because of the special Oktoberfest (area bosses treat their employees, and clients to free beer with this currency), the waitresses get very generous tips...somce actually only work the festival and not a normal job.
