World of Beer, a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of beers from around the globe, is excited to announce its partnership with San Diego-based Stone Brewing for a ‘Stonehenge Simul-Tapping’ event. Stone recently brewed an exclusive beer for the event, which will be served at participating World of Beer locations on Aug 22, 2013.
For the simul-tapping event, Stone Brewing Co. recreated a beer previously only available at the brewery and revived it solely for this World of Beer event. Stone Ruination Grapefruit Slam is Stone Ruination IPA dry-hopped with grapefruit peel to enhance the citrus notes and over the top hop character this beer is known for.
Stone Brewing Co. was established in 1996 by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner in North County San Diego. Since that time, Stone Brewing has become the 10th largest craft brewery in the United States, is distributed in 40 states and owns two farm-to-table restaurants and a farm in Escondido, Calif.
“I had an opportunity to try Ruination Grapefruit Slam and was blown away!” said Marc Sawyer, Director of Brewery and Distributor Relations at World of Beer Franchising, Inc. “As huge fans of Stone Brewing Co., we’re honored and excited to put on this simul-tapping event with them and look forward to sharing the exclusive brew with all of our guests.”
“Partnering with the various World of Beer locations for the simul-tapping event is going to be fantastic,” said Stone Brewing Co. Director of National Sales Jason Armstrong. “Not only do we have multiple locations participating, we are tapping a truly unique beer crafted specifically for this event. We hope our fans will come out to each location and help us celebrate the unique occasion.”
For the ‘Stonehenge Simul-Tapping,’ participating World of Beer locations will tap the exclusive brew at the same time at 7pm (EST), 6pm (CST), 5pm (MST) and 4pm (PST) on Aug 22nd. Along with Stone Ruination Grapefruit Slam IPA, the following year-round release beers will also be available depending on location: Stone Ruination IPA, Stone Pale Ale, Stone IPA, Stone Levitation Ale, Arrogant Bastard Ale, Stone Cali-Belgique IPA, Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale and Stone Smoked Porter. Limited items will vary at each World of Beer location, adding to a strong lineup of Stone Brewing Co. beers that will also differ by location.
