Jester King–Out Of State Distribution–Not Just Yet…

We announced Jester King’s upcoming partial-move into PA…and now more news from the brewery:

Out of State Distribution

We’re a very small brewery, and even by small brewery standards, we can’t make a whole lot of beer. What we can make, we try to spread, as best we can throughout the local market, but more often than not, we find that we don’t have quite enough to spread around to the extent that either we or our local customers might like. Every now and then, though, we do find ourselves with a few cases that we’re able to spare. When that happens, and when a reasonable opportunity presents itself to do so, we may sometimes send some of those cases out of state.

On previous occasions, we’ve sent small shipments to California, Illinois, and even Europe, and most recently, in conjunction with
The Festival in Worcester, MA, which we attended a few weeks ago, we sent one to our friends at Shelton Brothers Importers to spread around the Northeastern U.S., and possibly beyond.

This shipment, like those that preceded it, does not mark our permanent entry into any out of state markets, or any kind of promise as to the ongoing availability of our beers anywhere outside of Texas. It means simply that we had a little extra beer that we were able to share, and did what we could to get it to some folks outside our region, who we thought might enjoy it. Moving forward, when we have more beer that we can spare, we will very likely do much the same thing, but at this point, we really can’t say when or how often that’s likely to be.

So, if you live outside of Texas, you may just happen to come across one or two of our beers at your favorite local restaurant, tavern or shop every now and then. Until we’re able to make a lot more than we can right now, however (without compromising anything about how we make it, of course) finding our beers out of state is much more likely to be the exception than the rule
