Denver Beer Co "Clown Question" Named for Bryce Harper's Comment

Fasten your silly-seatbelts here…After Washington National’s baseball player 19-year old Bryce Harper replied to a reporters question asking what was his favorite beer was while visiting Canada (to play the Toronto Blue Jays), Bryce apparently replied, “That’s a Clown Question Bro!”

imageEnter Denver Beer Co who will now make a Canadian Lager called “Clown Question” in his “honor.”  The beer will not be ready until June 25th which will coincide with the Nationals visit to play the Colorado Rockies.  I’m not sure there’s really much of a story here since he’s only 19-years old, but hey it’s Saturday so why not?…and while you’re at it check out the Clown Question Bro MEGAMIX!  Keep in mind the best part of this post is the hours of fun you can have later by responding to every question someone asks you today with “That’s a Clown Question Bro!”

And an update from brewer Charlie Berger on the speed at which he expects to ferment a lager…

“There is an artistic license that comes with making a lager in only 11 days because, in general, lagers are stored for a bit longer. We can make an ale a little faster because the American ale yeast that we used is pretty flavor-neutral much like a lager yeast. It is able to mature a bit faster and allowed us to get this beer out. We’re still going to be serving this beer a bit young much like Bryce Harper himself.”
