Despite the news, there IS Beer & ALE in TX!  Up today we have Jester King Brewing Noble King Hoppy Farmhouse Ale.  Noble King will be packaged in 750ml bottles (unfiltered, unpasteurized & bottle conditioned) and have a surprisingly sessionable 5.4% ABV….and I love the hoppy Lion!  Looks like this brew uses a partial wheat malt and East Kent Goldings, Czech Saaz & other hops…as well as Jester King’s Farmhouse Yeast.  As a vegetarian, I also love that they are now indicating on the label that this beer IS “suitable for vegetarians & vegans.”  “Earthy noble hops & rustic farmhouse yeast create an elegant balance in this dry & drinkable golden ale.  Naturally carbonated through re-fermentation in the bottle.”
