Leave it to our favorite Gypsie brewer @ Mikkeller to push the limits of IPA and IPA blends once again. Today Mikkeller received approval for Koppi IPA ( a coffee IPA 6.9% ABV 25.4oz bottle & kegs w/Tomahawk hops & Guji Natural coffee), 10 (Belgian IPA w/10 hop varieties, 6.9% ABV 12oz & keg packaging) and 1000 IBU (Brewed @ De Proef 12oz & kegs and 12% ABV—bottles wrapped in paper). The Koppi & 1000 are New Beers and yes Mikkel is admitting the 100 IBU mark is a theoretical measurement…not a real IBU rating.
Last but not least we have the new Dream Pils keg packaging. This is a beer previously called American Dream Pils in the European market and it comes in at 4.6% ABV.
